"I am proud to announce my appointment as a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic," Chabib said in a statement.

He affirmed to be "the first Knight of the Italian Republic to have Moroccan origins" and "among the youngest" to receive such an award in Italy.

Chabib expressed on this occasion "his gratitude to President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella for this important recognition, which will undoubtedly give even more strength and vigor to my work".

In 2019, Chabib was named an honorary doctor of the Analitica Constructivista University of Mexico "for his efforts in the field of education for human development."
