The number of people vaccinated to date (dose 1) has reached 4,914,145 while 4,245,154 others have received the second dose of the vaccine, said the ministry in its daily report on the situation of Covid-19.
This new report brings to 510,465 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in March 2020, while the number of people who have recovered has risen to 496,583, a recovery rate of 97.3%, noted the ministry.
As for the total number of deaths, it rose to 9,015 with 10 new cases recorded in 24 hours, a case fatality rate of 1.8%. These deaths were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (6), Marrakech-Safi (2), Souss-Massa (1) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).
The new contaminations were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (356), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (24), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (22), Souss-Massa (21), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (17), the eastern region (17), Marrakech-Safi (15), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (7), Guelmim-Oued Noun (6), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (5), Fez-Meknès (2) and Draâ-Tafilalet (1).
The number of active cases stands at 4,867, while severe or critical cases are 360, of which 15 are placed under intubation.
