"This issue (of Academies) is very important because our objective is clear: we want African soccer to be among the best in the world," he told the press upon his arrival at the Rabat-Salé airport, expressing his joy at being in Morocco. "I feel at home," Mostepe said.

Motsepe stated he will also discuss with Lekjaa, chairman of the CAF Finance Committee and member of the FIFA Council, his contribution to the development of African football, especially in terms of infrastructure.

"Next year, the World Cup will be held in Qatar, and Morocco is one of the countries on which we place great hopes to represent with pride the African continent," he said.

Motsepe's visit to Morocco comes on the heels of the CAF 43rd General Assembly held last March in Rabat, during which he was elected to head the African body for a four-year term, replacing Ahmed Ahmed from Madagascar.

During this Assembly, Motsepe highlighted the important and fundamental role that the Kingdom plays in the implementation of new projects for the development of soccer on the continental level, given its great progress in terms of infrastructure and good governance.
