The association of friends of the cinema of Tetouan said in a statement that it has decided to organize this edition in virtual mode, to avoid it being postponed because of the impact of the current epidemiological situation (Covid-19), as happened last year.

This edition was to be held on March 21-28, 2020, before the organizers decided to put it off.

The Italian film "The vice of hope" by director Edoardo De Angelis had won the award for best movie in the category of feature films during the 25th edition of the FCMT, while the Egyptian movie "We come from afar" by director Amal Ramsis, had grabbed the jury's Grand Prix in the documentary film category.
