Suriname wants to benefit from the experience of the Kingdom in the field of PPP and plans to strengthen its trade relations with Morocco, especially in the private sector, Ramdin said during his meeting with the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara.
Suriname's top diplomat, who is on a working visit to Morocco on March 10- 12, also expressed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in the areas of water, logistics, infrastructure and cooperation between the authorities of the port of Paramaribo and that of Dakhla.
For his part, Amara expressed Morocco's interest in concluding a cooperation agreement in the port and maritime sectors, noting that this agreement will to consolidate and develop partnerships between the port authorities of both countries.
He also expressed readiness to initiate virtual meetings with Surinamese officials as of April to discuss bilateral cooperation in various areas.
The meeting, which took place in the presence of senior officials from both sides, was marked by talks on ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the areas of transport, logistics and water, especially in the port and maritime sectors.
The visit of the Surinamese FM is part of the two countries' keenness to further strengthen cooperation relations, which have experienced a significant momentum since 2017, according to a statement by the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water.
At the end of the meeting, the two officials reiterated their keenness to work to strengthen the cooperation ties between the two countries.
