Speaking at a webinar dedicated to Morocco-Indonesia trade cooperation, Kobarsyih deemed that "it is time to identify the priorities of bilateral economic cooperation and to exploit the existing various business opportunities, for the benefit of both countries and their peoples."
Trade between Morocco and Indonesia totaled USD 170.19 million in 2019, the official said, calling on both countries to explore new niches of cooperation.
For his part, Deputy Director-General of the Moroccan employers' body (CGEM), Jalal Charaf, gave a brief overview of the business climate in Morocco. He also outlined the various national strategies launched to strengthen the Kingdom's industrial and logistics infrastructure.
For his part, Rosan Roeslani, Head of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), stressed the need to study the characteristics of the Indonesian and Moroccan markets to better meet their respective needs.
As for Morocco's Ambassador to Indonesia, Ouadie Benabdellah, and his Indonesian counterpart, Hasrul Azwar, they reaffirmed the continued willingness of both countries to work on more promising prospects, deeming it necessary to raise economic cooperation to the level of the excellent bilateral political and diplomatic relations.
The webinar is part of a series of activities organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Indonesia.
