"The budget allocated to the education, vocational training and higher education sectors rose from 57 billion dirhams in 2015 to 76 billion dirhams, which represents an increase of 35%", noted Benchaâboun in his response to questions by advisors of the Finance, Planning and Economic Development Committee during the general discussion of the Appropriation Bill at the House of Advisors.
The minister noted that 90,798 jobs have been created for the benefit of the national education sector, against the elimination of 60,398 jobs, i.e. a replacement rate of 160%, noting that the higher education sector has benefited from 5,730 jobs, against the elimination of 3,781 jobs, i.e. a replacement rate of 151%.
