Speaking at the end of talks with the Moroccan minister of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, the French minister expressed his satisfaction with the solidity, the excellence and the sustainability of the long-standing and privileged ties binding the French Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco, recalling, in this regard, the exemplary level of bilateral economic cooperation which covers strategic sectors for the two countries.
For his part, Elalamy underlined that the exceptional relationship between Morocco and France is an opportunity to better jointly address the various challenges of post-Covid economic recovery.
He stressed that Morocco is capable of playing a driving role in the establishment of regional value chains at the Euro-Mediterranean level, noting that the Kingdom represents a reservoir of competitiveness with a view to redeployment or duplication of some production tools.
The two ministers also called for the strengthening of the economic partnership, which should focus on the decarbonization of the economy, digital technology and innovation, the development of SMEs as well as joint cooperation projects in Africa.
