"The two institutions are thus combining their respective efforts and expertise to define new avenues of cooperation in the development of investments from Germany to Morocco, particularly in the automotive and agro-industry sectors as well as the promotion of Moroccan exports in these sectors to the German market," AMDIE said in a statement.
This new collaboration, aimed at strengthening Moroccan-German cooperation, also is meant to ensure the organization and/or participation of Morocco in specialized fairs in Germany, webinars, matchmaking between German and Moroccan companies as well as the development of promotional tools adapted to the German market, said the statement.
Speaking on this occasion, the acting Director General of AMDIE, Hicham Boudraa said that "Morocco, thanks to the strategy and high royal guidance, is today a real growth relay for international and German companies in a particular context of post-Covid economic recovery".
"By combining our expertise with that of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, we engage with a partner with proven experience in supporting Moroccan and German investors, to best explore the business opportunities that exist between our two countries," he added.
For his part, Director General of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, Andreas Wenzel, said that thanks to favorable conditions for businesses, a state-of-the-art infrastructure and internationally competitive production capacities, Morocco is an attractive market and investment location for the German economy.
"Growing industrialization offers promising prospects for appropriate cooperation based on partnerships, especially in high-tech sectors, such as the automotive and food industries," he said, noting that jointly with AMDIE, AHK Morocco intends to work to further strengthen the representation of Morocco in Germany.
