Speaking at the opening of a seminar organized by the ministry of Labor and Professional Integration under the theme "labor Code: between legal text and effective implementation", El Otmani stressed the urgency of addressing this issue given the social and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him, it is appropriate to conduct a reflection on the provisions of the law relating to the labor Code which arouses the interest of various state institutions and the Moroccan society in that it regulates individual and collective labor relations.
He further indicated that the ambition is to ensure the protection of the rights of the working class and to promote job creation, while guaranteeing the rights of employers and providing conditions conducive to investment and improved productivity.
Everyone is invited to help overcome the difficulties that hinder the effective implementation of the labor Code, noted El Otmani, stressing that legislation, regardless of its level of development, requires improvement and optimization. Hence the need for an objective evaluation of legislation by involving practitioners, specialized researchers and the various national bodies concerned, he explained.
