This ceremony was held in the presence of Serbian senior officials, as well as of ambassadors accredited to Belgrade and several personalities from the sphere of culture and academics, said a statement from the embassy on Monday.
In a speech on this occasion, Morocco's Ambassador to Serbia, Mohamed Amine Belhaj, stressed that this Royal distinction is a high recognition of the action and significant contribution of the Serbian diplomat to the promotion of closer relations between Morocco and Serbia.
This distinction is a strong symbol of the excellent relations between Morocco and Serbia and of the exemplary partnership that both countries wish to build together, he said.
The Moroccan diplomat also welcomed Tavciovska's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, while expressing his deep appreciation of her fruitful collaboration, which allowed to initiate and organize many exchanges of high-level visits at governmental, parliamentary and business community levels in both countries, in addition to several cultural events that were successfully organized in Serbia and Morocco.
For her part, Mrs. Tavciovska expressed her pride, honor and deep gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for awarding her this distinction, which crowns her diplomatic mission in Morocco.
Stressing her great attachment to the Kingdom, the diplomat underscored that she will always be the ambassador of Morocco in the region and around the world.
On the National question, the Serbian diplomat said that Morocco and Serbia share the same principles and values aimed at respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
