Pursuant to the texts governing and specifying the terms and conditions of support and taking into account the provisions of the specifications, the commission in charge of studying support request files examined 3,468 projects, the department noted on its website.

The commission selected 1,735 projects encompassing more than 4.71 million dirhams allocated to the acquisition of 546 books, with a total of 78,090 copies from 43 publishers, nearly 1.77 mln MAD allocated to the acquisition of 1,064 books for a total of 22,765 copies from 31 booksellers, nearly 1.08 million MAD allocated to 48 reading awareness-raising operations and 1.01 million MAD allocated for the publication of 47 issues of cultural magazines, the same source said.

These projects also include 522,700 MAD allocated to 21 participations in international book fairs (subject to sanitary conditions), 153,000 MAD allocated to seven beneficiaries for residences of authors, and 80,000 MAD allocated for the publication of two electronic cultural journals.
