Speaking at this meeting, held at the initiative of the Saudi Ministry of Education, Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Government Spokesman Said Amzazi said that this document calls for guaranteeing the principles of equity, of equal opportunity for all students in Arab countries, for fighting dropout, social disparities and illiteracy, and for encouraging innovation and scientific research.
Quoted in a press release from the Ministry of National Education, Mr. Amzazi underscored that this document calls for an educational model that is oriented towards intelligence, citizenship, open-mindedness and critical thinking, said the he said, quoted in a press release of the Ministry of National Education.
The framework law No. 1751 on education, training and scientific research system, illustrates the Kingdom's commitment in this area, added the minister, who made several proposals on behalf of Morocco, with a view to enriching this document which addresses all the education-related challenges in Arab states, including Morocco.
The Moroccan official also called for developing an Arab education system in line with the current changes and that is able to guarantee continuous and quality education for all.
The document, drawn up by the Arab Parliament, is considered a guideline for the development of education in the region. It aims to establish high-quality Arab education systems that are up to date in the areas of education and scientific research and keep up with the development of new information and communication technologies, the ministry concluded.
