The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 107,743 while the number of cured people increases to 88,244, the ministry added in its daily update, adding that the recovery rate has reached 81.9%.
A total of 29 coronavirus-related deaths were registered during the same period, taking the death toll to 1,918, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (12), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (5), Souss-Massa (4), Drâa-Tafilalet (2) and Fez-Meknès (2), Marrakech-Safi (2), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (1).
The new cases are spread between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.120), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (338), Marrakech-Safi (212), Drâa-Tafilalet (155), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (142), Souss-Massa (112), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (111), the eastern region (72), Fez-Meknès (70), Guelmim-Oued Noun (29), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (22) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (14).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,349,630, after 21,107 new negative analyzes.
The active cases reached the number of 17,581, with a prevalence of 48.4/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 281, including 47 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 296.7/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 6.6/100,000 inhabitants.
