The new toll of confirmed cases brings to 94,504 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 74,930 that of people who fully recovered, the ministry said in its daily covid-19 report.
The number of deaths rose to 1,714, with 28 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours, that is a case fatality rate of 1.8%, according to the same source.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Marrakech-Safi (8), Casablanca-Settat (7), Darâa-Tafilalet (4), Béni Mallal-Khénifra (3), Fez-Meknès (2), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (1), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1), the eastern region (1), and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (932), Souss-Massa (354), Marrakech-Safi (311), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (289), Drâa-Tafilalet (204), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (117), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (116), Fez-Meknès (72), the eastern region (57), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (14), Guelmim-Oued Noun (14) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (8).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,224,010, after 20,215 new negative analyzes.
Active cases reached the number of 17,860, with a prevalence of around 49.2/100,000 inhabitants. Concerning severe or critical cases, there are 260, including 44 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 260.2/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 6.9/100,000 inhabitants.
