The suspect, 24, appeared before the Public Prosecutor at the end of the preliminary investigation and the custody legal time.

The individual, who worked in the industrial zone of the city, is being sued for homicide and indecent assault on a minor.

The suspect was arrested on Friday by elements of the prefectural service of the Tangier judicial police.

Three other individuals, all roommates of the suspect, were arrested for concealing a crime, for not reporting to the authorities when they recognized the suspect in the video footage widely broadcast as part of the investigation procedures.

The Public Prosecutor ordered the suspects to appear before the First Chamber of the Court of Appeal for further investigation.

The child's family had notified the security services of the "Bni Makada" zone in Tangier of the disappearance of a minor on September 7th, before the searches and investigations revealed that it was a disappearance of a criminal nature, especially since the viewing of video recordings shows the alleged involvement of an individual who lured the victim near the home of his family.

The search carried out by the judicial police, supported by the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), resulted in the identification of the suspect, who resides near the victim's home, before he was arrested and directed to the place where he disposed of the body.
