The Fez police services had received Saturday a search request presented by the mother of the minor, who had left the family home in suspicious circumstances, said the national police (DGSN) in a statement.

The technical research and investigations resulted in the arrest of the suspect involved in luring the missing girl, and allowed to find her at the home of the suspect, located in the neighborhood of Sidi Boujida in Fez, the statement said.

 Preliminary data of the investigation indicate that the suspect lured the minor through social networks, before he set up an appointment with her for Saturday and she accompanied him to his home, where he carried out an indecent, non-violent assault against the minor, the DGSN reported.

 The suspect was placed in police custody to complete the preliminary investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, with a view to determining the ins and outs of these criminal acts.
