During talks with speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, Trenteseau highlighted the proactive measures undertaken by the Kingdom, under the high instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
According to a statement by the House of Representatives, the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on how to deal with the pandemic.
Both parties also welcomed the quality of Moroccan-Belgian relations at all levels, particularly at the parliamentary level, emphasizing the strong ties between the two countries, illustrated by the importance of the Moroccan community residing in Belgium and its full integration into Belgian society.
They also highlighted the level of coordination and consultation between the two Kingdoms on various issues of common interest.
At the parliamentary level, the two officials stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in consolidating cooperation ties between the two countries.
In this regard, El Malki commended the regularity of the exchange of visits of parliamentarians from the House of Representatives of Morocco, the Federal Parliament and regional parliaments of Belgium, the same source said.
He also praised the action of Moroccan-Belgian parliamentary friendship groups, which promote the bringing together between the two countries, concluded the statement.
