Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organisation Commends Morocco's Efforts to Resolve Libyan Crisis

Cairo - The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organisation welcomed the efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco for the settlement of the Libyan crisis, by hosting in Bouznika, near Rabat, Libyan dialogue sessions between delegations of the High Council of State and the Tobruk Parliament, aimed at maintaining the ceasefire and opening negotiations to end the conflict between the Libyan protagonists.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Cairo-based organisation lauded the holding of these dialogue sessions at the initiative of Morocco, after both parties recently announced a ceasefire, expressing the hope that these sessions will lead to a comprehensive political settlement of the current crisis in the country.

The Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organisation noted that these inter-Libyan political dialogue sessions "are proceeding in a positive and constructive manner and have resulted in important agreements," emphasizing the interest of the Libyan parties to achieve positive and tangible results that will pave the way for a comprehensive political settlement throughout the country.
