During this meeting, the two sides highlighted the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation while expressing resolve to further strengthen these ties in the same spirit of friendship, mutual understanding and shared confidence, said a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) .
The two officials also pinpointed the important role played by the two countries in promoting stability and security, the same source added.
Earlier on the day and pursuant to the high instructions from HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Lieutenant General, FAR Inspector General received, at the FAR General Staff in Rabat, Chief of Staff of the French armies.
The talks, held in the presence of the French Ambassador to Morocco as well as the Defense Attaché at the French Embassy in Rabat, revolved around the strengthening of military cooperation between the Armed Forces of the two countries, the statement added.
The two parties expressed their satisfaction with the quality, solidity, excellence and sustainability of the bilateral cooperation and voiced their common will to further strengthen and deepen it through experience and expertise sharing, the statement concluded.
The Chief of Staff of the French Armies is on an official visit to Morocco on 9-13 September.
