Morocco's Dam Storage Capacity Reaches 39.7%

Rabat - Dam's storage capacity in Morocco has now reached 6.19 billion m3 (39.7%), the ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water has said.

This level is lower than the one reported during the same period in 2019, when stored volumes of water stood at 7.64 billion cubic meters, which corresponds to a storage capacity of 49%, the source added.

Al Wahda dam (Province of Ouezzane) has recorded a fill rate of 55.1% against 55% in the same period in 2019.

Other dams recorded a decrease in water supplies compared to the same period in 2019, including Al Massira in Settat (from 18.6% to 14.5%) and Bin El Ouidane in Azilal (from 50.3% to 23.6%).
