This new figure brings to 68,605 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 52,483 that of people who fully recovered, that is a recovery rate of 76.5%, said the ministry in its daily report.
The death toll rose to 1,292 with 39 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the same source.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (14), Marrakech-Safi (09), Fez-Meknès (05), Darâa-Tafilalet (04), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (03), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (02), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (01) and the eastern region (01).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (590), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (210), Marrakech-Safi (203), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (171), Darâa-Tafilalet (139 ), Fez-Meknes (130), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (115), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (96), Souss-Massa (44), the eastern region (38), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (09) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (05).
Active cases have reached 14,830, with a prevalence of around 40.8/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 180, including 47 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 188.9/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 4.8/100,000 inhabitants. The case fatality rate is 1.9%.
