Since the confirmation of the first case of Covid-19 in the Kingdom, the Sovereign has ordered "to take and implement a set of concrete measures and initiatives to deal with the pandemic, both at the health and economic levels," he pointed out, adding that Morocco has set out a clear roadmap to overcome this unprecedented crisis with as little damage as possible.
"Morocco has launched, within the framework of this roadmap, several projects aimed at promoting development and spatial justice in order to ensure the social protection of all citizens", said the Peruvian expert, noting that "this health crisis is also an opportunity to diagnose and deal with the shortcomings of the development model".
"HM the King will spare no effort to fill the gaps revealed by the crisis and will continue the process of promoting the prosperity and development of the Kingdom," he added.
Ramirez Espinosa underlined that the Sovereign's speech on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People is a "clear call" for more mobilization and solidarity to continue the efforts made to face the pandemic.
"His Majesty the King has called for more involvement and commitment of citizens in the fight against Covid-19", he observed.
For the Peruvian expert, Morocco, which is a model in terms of response to this health crisis, has recorded over the past few weeks a spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, stressing that the speech of HM the King was "frank and precise" in the diagnosis of the epidemiological situation and the call for compliance with the measures taken in this direction.
In this regard, Ramirez Espinosa said he is convinced that Moroccans "have apprehended the royal speech and will remain mobilized, with all the responsibility that the situation requires", adding that "the Moroccan people will overcome this health crisis, because a united Kingdom is able to address all challenges".
Regarding the repercussions of the pandemic on the economy, the Peruvian expert stressed that the Moroccan economy is able to absorb the shocks triggered by Covid-19, noting that the Kingdom's economy offers "enormous opportunities" in all areas which will help overcome the crisis.
