The films are "What if the goats die?" by Sofia Alaoui, "Clebs" by Halima Ouardiri, "Beyond the Wall" directed by Aisha Jabour, as well as "Bab Sebta" (Randa Maroufi).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this edition is held virtually and the large public can watch 212 selected movies through the festival's website.
A total of 26 countries are taking part in the event.
"These are unprecedented, very challenging times for all of us. Therefore, being able to bring to the public a diverse program, which contemplates this immense plurality of looks, accents and languages from all over the world, gives us the feeling that we are contributing to bring some life to this very difficult moment," the festival director, Zita Carvalhosa, pointed out in a press release.
