Launched by the wali of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, governor of the province of Laâyoune, Abdeslem Bekrate, this initiative was an opportunity to remind citizens of the duty to respect the precautionary regulations and the security and hygiene measures, notably wearing protective masks, and respecting social distancing.

In this context, local authorities have stepped up awareness-raising campaigns for the benefit of citizens, while reminding them of the importance of respecting the preventive measures put in place by the competent authorities in order to combat this pandemic.

They called on the population to adhere in a responsible manner to preventive measures, in order to support efforts made by the public authorities and the health services to limit the transmission of this virus.
