This new figure brings to 44,803 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 31,002 that of people who have fully recovered, i.e. a recovery rate of 69%, said the coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations at the Ministry of Health, Mouad Mrabet.
The death toll rose to 714, with 33 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours (09 in Marrakech, 05 in Casablanca, 04 in Fez, 03 in Tangier, 02 in Errachidia, 02 in Ouarzazate and 01 in Al Haouz, Youssoufia, Dakhla, Al Hoceima, Salé, Sefrou, Boulemane and Khénifra).
The cumulative incidence rate is 123.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, he said, indicating that the number of active cases stands at 13,087, that is a rate of 36/100,000 inhabitants.
The number of cases excluded after negative test results stands at 20,673, for a total of 1,603,925, he said.
Regarding the geographical distribution of new confirmed cases, Mrabet noted that 351 cases were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat (259 in Casablanca, 22 in Settat, 20 in El Jadida, 14 in Mohammedia, 14 in Berrechid, 08 in Benslimane, 08 in Nouaceur, 04 in Mediouna and 02 in Sidi Bennour), 190 in Béni Mellal-Khénifra (148 in Béni-Mellal, 19 in Azilal, 13 in Khénifra, 07 in Fqih Ben Saleh and 03 in Khouribga ), 151 in the Marrakech-Safi region (62 in Marrakech, 36 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 19 in Youssoufia, 13 in Al Haouz, 09 in Chichaoua, 07 in Essaouira and 05 in Rhamna), 135 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (40 in Sale, 37 in Kénitra, 29 in Skhirat-Témara, 17 in Khémisset, 08 in Rabat, 03 in Sidi Kacem and 01 case in Sidi Slimane), 126 in Fez-Meknès (81 in Fez, 21 in Boulemane, 14 in Meknes, 06 in Taounate, 02 in Ifrane and 02 in Taza), 106 in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (57 in Tangier, 19 in Larache, 13 in Tétouan, 06 in M'diq-Fnideq, 06 in Ouezzane, 02 in Al Hoceima, 02 in Chefchaouen and 01 case in Fahs-Anjra).
The other regions having recorded new cases are Draâ-Tafilalet (78), Souss-Massa (53), the eastern region (21), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (20), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (13) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01), he said.
Regarding people in a severe or critical state of health, Mrabet reported 184 cases admitted to intensive care units, including 36 people under invasive artificial respiration and 29 under non-invasive artificial respiration. These cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (61), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (40), Marrakech-Safi (30), Fez-Meknès (18), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (13), Drâa-Tafilalt (08), the eastern region (08), Souss-Massa (04), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01) and Béni Mellal-Khénifra (01).
