In an update on Thursday, the ministry underlined that the information run recently by certain media outlets concerning the non-conformity of the "Sidi Hrazem" water with the standards in force are related to facts which go back to more than ten months.
Inspection missions were carried out by the central and regional services of the ministry, the last of which was carried out in mid-January, in order to control the application by the mineral water company "Sidi Hrazem" of the security sanitary provisions agreed after the outbreak of the case of bacterial contamination of the said water, noted the press release.
On the basis of the negative results of the bacteriological analyzes by the reference laboratory under the Ministry of Health, it was established that there is no source of contamination, which means that "everything is now under control", it said.
The company was immediately authorized to resume normal distribution of its products, the same source added.
