This new figure brings to 35,195 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 25,385 that of people who fully recovered, that is a recovery rate of 72.1%, said the coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations at the Ministry of Health, Mouad Mrabet.
The death toll rose to 533, with 17 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, he added, specifying that these deaths were recorded in Marrakech (06), Casablanca (04), Darâa Tafilalet (04), Fez (02) and Tangier (01).
The cumulative incidence rate is 97/100,000 inhabitants, he said, noting that in the last 24 hours, out of 100,000 inhabitants, three people have been infected.
In terms of geographic distribution, Mrabet said that 391 new cases were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region (312 in Casablanca, 22 in Midiouna, 20 in Mohammédia, 17 in El Jadida, 09 in Benslimane, 07 in Settat and 04 cases in Naoucer), 195 in Marrakech-Safi (147 in Marrakech, 27 in Al Haouz, 12 in Kelâa De Sraghna, 07 in Chichaoua, one case in Safi and one case in Essaouira), 163 Fez-Meknès (70 in Fez , 30 in Taza, 28 in Meknes, 17 in Boulemane, 13 in El Hajeb and 05 cases in Sefrou), 140 in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (79 in Tangier, 41 in Tétouan, 10 in Laarache, 09 in Al Hoceima and one case in M'diq Fnideq), 63 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (23 in Témara, 13 in Salé, 10 in Kénitra, 09 in Rabat, 05 in Sidi Slimane, 02 in Sidi Kacem and one case in Khémisset), 52 Daraâ-Tafilalet (28 in Ouarzazate, 08 in Errachidia, 07 in Zagoura, 06 in Midelt and 03 cases in Tinguir), 50 in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra (30 in Béni Mellal, 15 in Azilal and 05 cases in Khouribga), 45 in Souss-Mass (27 in Agadir, 06 in Inzegane Ait Melloul, 04 in Tiznit and 03 in Taroudante), 19 in the eastern region (06 in Driouch, 05 in Oujda, 03 in Berkane, 02 in Jerada, 02 in Nador and one case in Taourirt), 10 in Dakhla Oued Eddahab, all identified in the province of Dakhla, 03 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (02 in Guelmim and one case in Tan-Tan), and 01 case in Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra, recorded in Laâyoune.
The number of cases excluded after negative test results is 20,869, for a total of 1,458,901.
Regarding active cases, Mrabet noted that their number stands at 9,277 people, a rate of 25.5/100,000 inhabitants, noting that most of these cases are recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat, Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Marrakech-Safi and Fez-Meknes.
Regarding people in critical condition, he reported 132 cases admitted to intensive care units, including 57 intubated people. These cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (38, including 36 intubated people), Marrakech-Safi (34 including 2 intubated people), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (31, including 05 intubated cases), Fez-Meknes (13 including 7 intubated persons), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (13 cases including 7 intubated cases), Souss-Massa (1), the eastern region (1) and Daraâ Tafilalet (01).
