6,098 detainees have benefited from remote trials in full respect of the necessary guarantees and the adopted health measures, the CSPJ said on Monday in a press release.
These statistics, which provide indicators of "significant organizational, human and technical impact", were made possible thanks to the commitment of all partners, authorities, establishments and professionals of the justice system, in favor of improvement and adaptation of the mechanisms of this ambitious project, in order to concretely reflect the requisites of a fair trial based on human rights, underlined the Council.
It also called on officials, professionals and users to continue their commitment in favor of full compliance with all health measures undertaken without slackening or neglect, expressing deep sadness following the death, recently, of three employees at the registry office because of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
