According to the Fez-Meknes Regional Health Directorate (DRS), this medical facility, created in coordination with the local authorities, has all the necessary equipment. It aims to support the efforts of the various stakeholders to improve the quality of care provided.

With a capacity of about 1,200 beds, this hospital mobilizes an experienced medical and paramedical staff. In addition to the treatment, it offers areas for entertainment and sports activities.

The creation of this facility is a proactive initiative, which comes at a time when the city of Fez is recording a relatively high number of cases, following the increase in the number of tests and the lifting of health confinement,'' said the DRS.

This structure is likely to "play an effective role in facilitating the treatment of Covid-19 cases, allowing resuscitation services to focus on critical cases and freeing up hospital beds to provide the necessary medical care for people with other illnesses," added the same source.
