Ban on Travel to and from Some Cities: Teachers, Civil Servants Exempt from Signing Official Exit Report

Rabat - Teachers and civil servants who have to travel to and from cities, which are the subject of the joint statement of the ministries of Interior and Health, are exempted from signing the official report of exit in person, the ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Monday.

This approach was adopted following the joint statement of the ministries of Interior and Health issued on Sunday and on the basis of ministerial correspondence 488/20, in order to avoid that a part of teachers and civil servants travel for the signing of the official report of exit in this exceptional situation.

In a statement, the ministry of National Education said that the teachers and civil servants concerned "are obliged to contact their superiors to inform them of their situation".

The ministries of Interior and Health had announced a ban on travel to and from the cities of Tangier, Tetouan, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Berrechid, Settat and Marrakech, in view of the considerable increase in recent days in cases of Covid-19 contamination.
