4.4-Magnitude Tremor Shakes off Driouch Coast

Rabat - A 4.4-magnitude quake on the Richter scale was felt on Saturday in the coast of Driouch, the National Institute for Geophysics (ING) said.

The quake, whose epicentre is located off Driouch, was recorded at 1:13 p.m (GMT+1), the National Earthquake Surveillance and Alert Network, under the said institute, noted in a seismic alert bulletin.

The quake occurred at a depth of 24 km, a 35,461°N latitude and a 3,840°W longitude, the same source added.
