Covid-19: Special Fund Collects MAD 33.3 Billion in First Half of 2020

Casablanca - The global amount collected by the special Fund for the management of the pandemic of the novel coronavirus (covid-19) reached MAD 33.3 billion in the first half of 2020, according to the Kingdom's General Treasury (TGR).

"At the end of June 2020, the trust account entitled + special Fund for the management of the coronavirus pandemic Covid-19 + recorded income of 33.3 billion dirhams and expenditure of MAD 18.1 billion", the TGR reported in its monthly public finance statistics bulletin in June.

This special Fund was created following the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to cover the costs of upgrading the medical system, support the national economy to cope with the shocks induced by this pandemic, preserve jobs and mitigate the social repercussions of the pandemic.
