Speaking at a meeting organized on the occasion of Africa Day, on the sidelines of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum held virtually in New York, El Ouafi explained that the priority areas identified by the Kingdom mainly focus on broadening the process of ownership and involvement with the various stakeholders, at the national, regional and territorial levels, as well as the consolidation of the framework and mechanisms for the coherence of public policies for the effective and efficient implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals that aim to improve the living conditions of the population and to which Morocco has subscribed for their achievement by 2030.
El Ouafi also noted that the presentation of this Voluntary National Review, the second of its kind since 2016, had enabled the Kingdom to measure its progress in its continuous efforts towards development for the benefit of its people.
In this regard, she added, HM King Mohammed VI has decided to set up a national commission to update the Moroccan development model with an assessment of the multiple stakes and challenges facing Morocco in various fields, including education and training, employment, social protection and the issue of youth.
