In his opening speech at this meeting, El Otmani stressed that despite the special circumstances facing Morocco and countries around the world due to the repercussions of the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, the Moroccan community living abroad remains at the center of the government's attention to improve services dedicated to this category in a framework of total commitment and continuous coordination with the various institutional actors involved, said a statement by the head of government's department.
The commission holds its meetings regularly, which made it possible to react to the constraints and challenges and to meet the expectations, within a framework of convergence with the various partners, through the implementation of several recommendations and measures aimed at upholding the status enjoyed by this category, preserving their rights and enabling them to contribute positively to the economic and social activity of the Kingdom, El Otmani said.
In the same vein, the statement added, the head of government highlighted the positive interaction between the ministry of Labor and Vocational Integration and the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) in order to develop a social protection mechanism dedicated to Moroccans of the world in general, and particularly for the benefit of those living in countries that are not bound by bilateral social protection agreements with Morocco.
El Otmani also referred to ongoing efforts to expand access to air transport service through increasing airport capacity and launching new airlines to a number of countries, including China as well as countries in Africa and North America.
