In a speech at the opening of a meeting chaired by minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, with the participation of minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb and professionals of the tourism sector, Fettah Alaoui indicated that Morocco ensures that the resumption of the tourist activity is corollary to the priority of the Kingdom, namely the preservation of the health of its citizens.
To this end, the ministry has put in place a guide with preventive measures to preserve the health safety of all professionals in the tourism sector, with measures they must comply with to ensure a gradual and successful resumption of their activities and enhance the quality of tourist services presented in healthy and safe conditions, she added.
This guide concerns all the facilities of tourist accommodation institutions (receptions, restaurants, kitchens, administrations, luggage ...), by placing the health of tourists and staff of the sector at the top of the priorities, Fettah Alaoui said, stressing that this guide has been made on the basis of the best international experiences and practices, of the recommendations of the World Tourism Organization and of the various guides drawn up by the Moroccan public authorities.
Field visits in coordination with local authorities and ministry of Health services are regularly carried out to ensure the implementation of these measures, said Fettah Alaoui.
