As part of the strengthening of communication on the evolution of the epidemic, the ministry will continue to broadcast its daily statement on the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom by involving its officials at the regional level via interventions on official TV channels during the television news, the department said in a statement.
The daily press briefing, which will be presented in turn by the members of the National Center of Public Health Emergency Operations (CNOUSP), will provide updated data on the epidemiological situation in Morocco in 24 hours, including in the regions and cities where new confirmed cases or clusters are recorded, while emphasizing the general developments since the onset of the epidemic, starting at 6 p.m.
It will be broadcast on the official page of the ministry on Facebook, its official channel on YouTube, the official television channels as well as by the Moroccan News Agency (MAP).
As for the weekly statement, it will be presented every Friday at the same time in the form of a detailed presentation focusing on the evolution curves of the epidemic in Morocco in terms of new confirmed cases, excluded or hospitalized cases, in addition to cases of recovery and death and the nature of the detected clusters.
This presentation will be an opportunity to launch awareness-raising messages on the Covid-19 virus, as well as the prevention measures to be respected during this period in order to stem its spread.
According to the same source, the ministry has been ensuring since the outbreak of the pandemic the presentation of clips to raise awareness about the recommended preventive measures to avoid the risk of contamination. Such clips are broadcast free of charge on Al Oula and 2M channels as well as on Medi1 TV.
It reaffirmed that the epidemiological situation remains stable with a high level of vigilance especially in a context of easing restrictions, stressing that the increase recently in the number of cases is explained by broadening early collective screening and contact person tracking.
