Within two months, 55,594 detainees benefited from remote trials to spare them all the health risks in this exceptional situation marked by the spread of the coronavirus, the CSPJ said in a press release.
These are exceptional figures and indicators, noted the same source, welcoming the efforts made by all stakeholders for the optimal application of the remote trial system and the monitoring of all its organizational, technical and human aspects, in view of achieving the set objectives.
This two-month report reflects the importance of this strategic measure put in place by the Kingdom to combat the repercussions of the new coronavirus and ensure the health security of users and professionals involved in the justice system, while enabling prisoners to benefit from fair trials within a reasonable time.
In this regard, the Council commended the tireless efforts made by partners, authorities, institutions and professionals in the justice field, as evidenced by the significant results obtained since the launch of this project on April 27.
