This operation, which is part of the Kingdom's efforts to repatriate Moroccans stranded abroad in the context of the Covid-19 health crisis, was supervised at Heathrow airport by Morocco's Consul general in London, Khalid El Moujaddidi and representative of Morocco's flag carrier Royal Air Maroc-RAM in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Ashraf Al Hassani.
This flight, carrying 150 passengers, included elderly and sick people as well as citizens in vulnerable situations.
In the context of the state of health emergency declared by several countries following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, some 30 flights were scheduled between 21 and 27 June for the repatriation of 4,644 Moroccans stranded in 17 countries.
