The flight, which carried 150 passengers, involved citizens in vulnerable situations, sick and elderly people as well as young children.
This operation was supervised at Brussels airport by the Moroccan ambassador to Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mohamed Ameur, the consuls general of the Kingdom in Brussels, Liege and Antwerp and RAM director for Benelux Mohamed Amraoui.
It is part of the repatriation program organized by the Kingdom, which has so far involved hundreds of Moroccans stranded abroad in the context of the state of health emergency decreed by several countries following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some 30 flights have been scheduled between 21 and 27 June for the repatriation of 4,644 Moroccans stranded in 17 countries in the context of the pandemic, announced Monday minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
