During this audience, Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb highlighted the importance of the partnership between the ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children, which is part of the program for the protection and promotion of the rights of children and young people in difficult situations, according to the same source.
Under the terms of this agreement signed between the two parties, the ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports undertakes to contribute to the work of refurbishing, building and equipping the reception centers run by the League, in particular with the necessary technical and sports equipment and to the operating budget of these centers, as well as to the training and supervision of the educators working in these structures.
For its part, the LMPE undertakes to ensure the gradual provision of care for children in difficult situations who are residents of child protection centers under the authority of the Department of Youth and Sports, in accordance with the available capacity and the age of the residents.
The League also contributes to awareness-raising and education programs on child and youth issues, including Kafala, the rights of children and their protection against abandonment, exclusion and marginalization, the statement added.
At the end of this audience, El Ferdaous thanked Her Highness for the warm welcome extended to him and expressed his readiness to work tirelessly with the League to give a strong impetus to actions for the care of children and young people in difficult situations within the framework of a participatory approach, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, aimed at promoting the social conditions of children in precarious situations.
Before the exchange of the agreement signed by the two parties, El Ferdaous and the accompanying delegation visited the different pavilions of the Lalla Meriem center, where the officials of this establishment gave them explanations on the process of reception and care of the residents, as well as on the different services provided to all the beneficiaries, under the guidance and supervision of the staff of the League, specialized in the field of child protection, concluded the statement.
