The new tally brings to 8,885 the number of contaminations since the first case was reported in the kingdom on March 2 and to 7,828 the number of fully recovered people, said head of the department of epidemic diseases at the Directorate of epidemiology under the ministry of Health, Hind Ezzine, in a statement broadcasted by MAP on its TV channel M24 and on RIM RADIO.

The number of fatalities remained at 212, with no deaths in the last 24 hours, i.e. a case-fatality rate of 2.4%, she added, noting that the recovery rate stands at 88.1%.

 The ministry urges citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the authorities, by showing responsibility and patriotism.
