"In addition to the formal objective of consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries, the last visit of the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, and Special Envoy of HM King Mohammed VI to Tunisia falls within the framework of a new diplomatic impetus" between Rabat and Tunis, underlined the newspaper on Saturday.
In an article entitled "In a changing regional context, a new impetus for Tunisian-Moroccan relations", the daily indicated that at first glance, it is only a simple visit as part of the fostering of bilateral relations between the two countries, but more closely, this visit marks a progress in the diplomatic relations between Tunisia and Morocco.
The Sovereign "has chosen that Tunisia be the first destination of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco since last March," said the same source, citing the press release from the Presidency of the Republic published at the end of the audience granted by the Tunisian President to Bourita.
It recalled that this royal message is related in particular to bilateral relations and means of promoting them, as well as to the regional and international situation.
The paper stressed that this visit is of "particular importance" since it marks a new diplomatic impetus between the two countries, the challenge therefore being to revive these relations in a regional context marked by movement, instability and notably the conflict Libyan.
Underlining that a perfect harmony of positions between the two countries on the Libyan issue has been noted, the newspaper stresses that "the Libyan question constitutes a concern for the two countries, a reconciliation of positions can contribute to efforts of peace in this country which has been at war since 2011.
Emphasizing the permanent phone conversations between the two heads of state, HM King Mohammed VI and President Kaïs Saeïd, the paper recalled that a large Moroccan delegation had attended, last October, the inaugural speech of Kaïs Saïed at the Assembly of Representatives of the People (ARP).
