A new figure by the Regional Department of Health (DRS), on Wednesday at 10:00 am, notes that these new cured cases have been reported in the prefecture of Marrakech.

The total of cured cases is divided between the prefecture of Marrakech (969) and the provinces of Rehamna (231), Al-Haouz (50), Chichaoua (24), El Kelâa des Sraghna (04), Essaouira (04) and Safi (02), it said, stating that the recovery rate registered a slight increase to 85.8%.

In addition, the DRS underlines that no new case of infection with Covid-19 has been detected in the region, thus the total number of contaminations reported in the region since the outbreak of the pandemic stayed unchanged at 1,496.

The same source specifies that 159 patients are currently under treatment in the region, including 158 hospitalized in the prefecture of Marrakech and one (1) patient in the province of Safi.

Following these recoveries, six provinces in the region (Youssoufia, Rehamna, Essaouira, El Kelâa des Sraghna, Chichaoua and Al Haouz) are "free" from any case of contamination with Covid-19.

As for the number of cases excluded after negative test results carried out in the laboratory, it reached 32,626, while that of deaths stood at 53, reports the Regional Department of Health.
