These new cases have been detected in the prefecture of Marrakesh, said a report by the National Directorate of Health (DRS), on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.

According to the same source, 156 patients are currently under treatment in the region, including 155 ones hospitalized in the prefecture of Marrakesh and one (1) single patient in the province of Safi.

In addition, the DRS reports 5 new recoveries, bringing to 1,281 the number of people declared definitively recovered in the region, divided between the prefecture of Marrakech (966) and the provinces of Rehamna (231), Al-Haouz (50), Chichaoua (24), El Kelâa des Sraghna (04), Essaouira (04) and Safi (02), stating that the recovery rate has gone down to 86%.

Six provinces in the region (Youssoufia, Rehamna, Essaouira, El Kelâa des Sraghna, Chichaoua and Al Haouz) are "free" from any case of contamination.

The number of cases excluded after negative test results reached 31,813, while that of deaths has stabilized at 52, it reported.
