The number of contamination cases identified in the region since the outbreak of the epidemic has stabilized at 996, said the Regional Directorate of Health on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

These cases are distributed among Fez with 62pc (614 cases), followed by El Hajeb (122 cases/12pc), Meknès (119 cases /12pc), Taza (55 cases/5pc), Sefrou (46 cases/5pc), Ifrane (20 cases/2pc), Taounate (13 cases/1pc) and Moulay Yaacoub, with 1pc (7 cases). The province of Boulemane has not registered any cases so far.

In terms of recoveries, 22 new cases were recorded, bringing the number to 791. The recovery rate rose to 79.4pc.

A total of 178 people (17.9pc) are still receiving treatment throughout the region, including 4 provinces and a prefecture (out of 9) has no Covid19 cases. These are Meknes, Boulemane, Taza, Moulay Yaacoub and Ifrane.

The number of deaths in the region remains unchanged (27 cases).
