The truck was intercepted at the commune of "Tagante", 30 kilometers north of Guelmim, National Police (DGSN) said in a release, adding that the drug was hidden inside a shipment of agricultural products.

The driver and two of his companions were arrested, the source pointed out, adding that the suspects were placed on custody while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to arrest all the people involved in these criminal activities.

This operation is part of efforts made by national security services to fight against international drug trafficking networks.
