The new cases were reported in the prectures of Agadir-Ida Outanane and Inezgane-Ait Mellou, the region health office said Friday in its daily update.

The prefecture of Inezgane-Ait Melloul is the worst hit with 41 cases, ahead of Agadir-Ida-Outanane (35), Tata (4), Chtouka-Ait Baha (2) and Taroudant (2), while no case has been confirmed so far in the province of Tiznit.

The number of excluded suspected cases over the past 24 hours has reached 3,472, the source said, adding the number of coronavirus related deaths stands at 7.

A total of 121 new Covid-19 cases were recorded over the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 7,322.
