After a meeting held on Tuesday by the speaker of the lower house Habib El Malki, and the heads of parliamentary groups on the action plan of this institution, the members of the Bureau of the house debated the mechanisms of health crisis management based on governance, proactive approach and communication.

The meeting focused in particular on the data presented by the Head of Government on the extension of the state of health emergency and the importance of the achievements made in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions. 

On this occasion, El Malki stressed the importance of implementing the provisions of article 68 of the Constitution which provides for the possibility of holding joint meetings by the two Houses of Parliament, for the presentation of data on the evolution of quarantine management after May 20, said a House statement on Wednesday.

The meeting offered the opportunity to put forward the decision to create a provisional thematic commission responsible for legislating in health matters and to look into the modalities of updating the related legislations, in line with the pressing need to promote an advanced legislative framework that meets the requirements of Moroccans.
