Covid-19: 13 New Cases in Marrakech-Safi Region

Marrakech - Thirteen new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded over the past 24 hours in the region of Marrakech-Safi, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 1,294 until Tuesday at 4 p.m., the regional health office said Tuesday.

Marrakech is the worst hit prefecture with 250 cases, ahead of Al Haouz (8), Essaouira (2), Rehamna (1), Chichaoua (1) and Safi (1).

According to the same source, six Covid-19 patients have recovered over the given period, which rises the total of recoveries in the region to 981.

The number of excluded suspected cases has reached 9,641, while the total of coronavirus related deaths stands at 50, the source said.

A total of 71 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Morocco over the past 24 hours, taking the total of cases in the country to 7,023.
